People do things with a reason

Many people asked me if I had a Blog. My excuse for not having one was that I am too busy or I have much more important things to do -- sort of reasons to impress people that I am a serious, busy professor. Well, the truth is that I have much time to play golf and even go fishing at night. The truth is I am too lazy!

Now I am in Tsukuba, Japan, a city 45-minutes away from Tokyo by train. Two days ago, I came across the first earthquake (at level 6.6) in my life. After hiding under the desk for two minutes, I have been worrying about the wall-mounted air-con. Is this 60-lbs object, on the top of my head, still fastened after the shake? The panic feeling during the two minutes is still fresh. Life is really fragile before the mighty of nature. Tell you that my father died ten years ago in a fire accident.

I think I should write out something before I die, hopefully at least 40 years later, and then I create my Blog space.
